Discography
I love hiding behind many various monikers. Anyway, from time to time I decided to undercover some alias.
Here's a list of stuff I did and approved in my brain.

Matt Atkins’ MRM imprint has mostly concentrated on his own varied body of work in the past so it’s great to find him reaching out once more and bringing us a release from another artist. First off I have to say what an immensely cool name Amaurote is. I remember the game only too well from my youth - assuming, that is, that it's named after the game and not something else. An isometric 3D game for the ZX Spectrum, it was developed by Binary Design (one of my favourite coding houses at one time) and featured what I consider to be an utterly classic soundtrack by David Whittaker (he who was ripped off by Zombie Nation a few years back with Kernkraft 400). As it was released for the 128 Speccy it took advantage of the 3-channel AY soundchip and he put together an incredibly spooky and eerie soundscape based work that perfectly reflected the atmosphere of the game with its oversized insects invading and taking over futuristic cites. Bloody hard game, mind you, and I remember getting very stuck on a number of occasions. Anyway, retro computer game review over with I’ll move onto the music aspect of this release (and if you haven’t fallen asleep yet and are still reading give yourself a pat on the back!) Binary Code Forbidden is an EP that blends some classic and comfortable electronica vibes with a considerably darker and more stripped back sense of minimalism. I could almost hear echoes of very early Autechre in there (my favourite era – Incunabula) with lovely synths and chord structures along with lightly electro inflected rhythms. The overall feeling is of a relaxed nature but with the occasional foray into slightly more upbeat territory. I think that’s why it works so well for me – that and the fact that it freely references the kind of music that I loved back in the day – and that coupled with the more stark moments is a combination that is going to be very appealing to a lot of you. My advice? Check it out straight away as this will be a limited release as always. Really excellent sounds. (Reviewed by Smallfish)

Insects, whether you love them or hate them, they permeate our surroundings. Me And My Droid explores these miniature biological entities in his latest offering on Cryoworks.
2500AD: forms of ecological life have adapted to their harsh surroundings, consequence: insects made not of carbon compounds, but electro-mechanical robots crafted from self-replicating nano-structures.
Track 1: Shows the evolutionary behavior of these "insectoids". Their reproductive organs no longer required as part of a tool in the continuation of their species, they use them as pleasure sensors instead.
Track 2: Insects bred for warfare? Some clandestine intelligence agencies seems to think so as they have developed some stealthy and deadly buggers to carry out their dirty work.
Track 3: Soaring in the sky requires some kind of propellant, what better way to defy gravity then by the wobbling synthesizer sounds of a TB-303!
Track 4: Ever heard the expression of two people fond of each other being "love bugs". Ya...
Track 5: Humans are born with congenital defects. Insect robots are not impervious to flaws at birth either. Several tests are conducted to eliminate the weak ones. Eugenics is the norm.
Track 6: The monotonous existence of these critters is embodied in this track. Their software designed to seek out food in the ground. Over and over again...
Track 7: Armies of ants scuffle around the planet. They are highly efficient distributed networks of autonomous robots. Together, a colony forms a single cognitive machine.
Track 8: The cycle of life continues. Whatever goes up, must come down. What happens when insects crash? Their parts are scavenged, and from the ground, they are born again.
